Casekeep

Casekeep is a secure case and document management platform for organizing client files, encrypted forms, and e-signatures around individual cases — the kind of recurring, sensitive-information workflow that case workers, small firms, and independent professionals otherwise handle over insecure email attachments and PDFs.

Every file and form is encrypted client-side using envelope encryption: a unique key per resource, generated and protected through AWS KMS, so that even a compromised storage provider can't decrypt anything without also compromising the application layer. Clients can upload documents or complete forms and e-signatures through shareable links without ever creating an account, so there's nothing to sign up for and no password to remember.

I was the founder, engineer, and designer behind Casekeep — building the full NestJS + Prisma backend (39 REST endpoints across files, forms, organizations, and cases, with role-based access and tamper-evident audit logging), the React frontend, and the product and brand design end to end. It's the most technically ambitious product I've built solo.

Casekeep reached a public beta launch, but never found real product-market fit - it's currently on 'pause'.
